Good times and the bad times

I have seen quite a few people posting articles about people making their lives seem perfect on their Facebook news feed, Instagram feed, twitter, etc... Blah blah blah. We get it! Yes the Internet makes you come across that way, people post things that they are proud of or things that make them happy. Why would we post things that are sad and depressing?! Yes we all have issues and trials but maybe these people feel better by posting the good things. Ya know?

Either way, I post about the good stuff and the not so good. For example, take toddler T. The other night he threw a fit, there he was crying, kicking ad screaming on the floor because we told him he had to go to bed in a few minutes. Keep In mind it was already past his somewhat normal bedtime.
I let him have his moment on the floor while I cleaned up the kitchen, then picked him up and took him upstairs to get ready for bed. Oh, and I snapped a pic of his screaming and posted it in Instagram, obviously.

Here's to the good times and bad times as a parent. 

Pass of all Passes

Last month we finally bought our Pass of All Passes!  They are dirt cheap and you get into so many things, so we couldn't resist.  If you have one too then come out and meet us at one of the cool places so we can play!  So while Grandma was in town last weekend helping out, we loaded up all the kiddies and headed to Trafalga while the wifey and baby D could get some rest without everyone else around, ha!

We had a ton of fun.  We played mini golf, arcades, played in the play place with tons of other kiddies and rode the frog ride and the older kiddies played laser tag.  We finished off the day with orange soda for everyone!  I know we will get a lot out of these passes, we just need the summer to be here so we can hit up Seven Peaks!!  Can't wait. 

Fatherhood

I know, this is a little late, but Father's Day actually has a meaning to me now.  It's like another little holiday or birthday.  Who wouldn't like it, right?!  Now, I know that baby T is a little too young to fully understand this, but after we picked him up from my parents house in the middle of the night, (late night coming back from OR) and I saw this little picture that he made at church, I just had to smile. 

I like to take him in the stroller too, we have 'our' time when we go running everyday.   

The wifey also got me a new drill!  I have been saying over and over about how we will need to borrow a drill to do the next few projects that we have planned for the house, but now we can do them on our own.  Gracias. 

It feels great to be a parent, and see everything that goes on in your child's life.  Baby T gets to excited about every little thing, I love it.  Everything is new and exciting to him. 

My cousin posted this article that was on CNN and I love it!  It is a huge wake up call for all Fathers to get out there and be involved in your kids life.  He gives the 10 commandments of righteous fatherhood, which should already be happening, but if they aren't then get on it fathers! 

I am so glad that I have a great job, that is close to home where I can help out more, and when baby T is older I can be more involved in his school, sports, music, etc....etc....  It feels great to be a father.  I would love it if I could there for every little things that happens, but I can't.  But we do have iphones to capture most things on video and to take snapshots.  Thanks you technology and here's to fatherhood!  (High Five!)

Other Weekend Activities

The weekend was packed full of stuff.  Baby T got to spend a lot of time with his cousins in slc, play ball, watched some nba games and had great food, enjoyed a little sun, recover from running, played at the park, etc....

Oh, and I almost forgot.  T went to nursery this week on his very own and he loved it!  We dropped him off and he sat right down and began to do some puzzles with the other kids.  He seemed to do fine and he made a little puppet too.  We was so pleased with it.  Honestly it was nice to just sit and listen in the other meetings and not have to worry. 

And he is loving these swords that he found and always wants to sword fight. 

What a boy. 

18 months.....already

Baby T is already 18 months!  Can you believe it?  We sure can't. It seems like last month we were swinging by the red box on our way to the hospital, remember that? The time has flown by and he is such a funny kid.  We can probably stop calling him a baby, since he is all over the place and doing so many new things.  He has gone to nursery once, with his mom and loved it!  Next week he is going in all by himself and we will actually be able to participate in the lessons.  What a great day that will be!

T is still obsessed with any type of ball (keep it clean please). 
He is getting good at shooting hoops and he loves to talk non stop jibberish, where about every third word is 'ball' or 'ball game.' 

He loves to sing and hum songs. 
He knows where the candy is hidden at our house and loves chocolate milk.
He still sleeps with his 'blankie' and binky.  (Maybe he still is baby.....)
He loves to run.  He races from one wall to the other in our family room. 
He copies everything that we do and knows when he is left out. 
If we have a spoon at dinner and he doesn't, then he will make it known until he gets one. 

And the list goes on and on.
We love having him around and enjoy watching him learn and develop new things.
