1st bath and other random pics

he kind of enjoyed his first bath, just cried a little. he has a little jaundice and he gets to sleep in a 'tanning bed' to reduce it. we got some blood tests done and he is already improving. he is a cute little guy and loves having visitors and meeting his new friends. we are in love with this boy, turner james shields!

we made it home and have finally slept!

they don't let you sleep at the hospital much...not cool!

Finally......

Drum Roll Please....... Introducing...... -Turner James Shields who was born at 2:43 am on 10.13.09. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long. We checked into the hospital at 7'ish pm on monday night. after having contractions all day an epidural was given at 11 pm and Turner made his arrival a few hours later. He is perfect! Natalie was a trooper and made it look easy. We are so excited for our new adventure with Turner.

41 weeks

yup, we spent saturday afternoon strolling around the zoo,

wishfully thinking that it would put natalie into labor.

no luck, but all of the baby animals were awesome!
