Flash Back Friday

This week we are flashing back 2 years ago.  Baby T was only a few weeks old and we had a fun night carving pumpkins and of course, putting T in one of them, ha!

He was a good sport about it all, and we dressed him up as a penguin that year.  Kid costumes are the best and there are so many options.  That is why T was a dino and a doggie this year.  Now that Halloween is over, we can start to enjoy the cold, the dark (day light savings is this weekend!) and get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It is a great time of the year, love it!

Happy Birthday Baby T

Dear Baby T-

Now that you are turning 2, I think I might have to start calling you Toddler T, deal?  I can't believe how fast you are growing up.  You are talking more and more everyday and the new words that you learn are sometimes funny.  Thanks for always repeating what I say and what Mommy says.

I am sorry that we cut your binky the week, but it was time.  I mean you are turning 2 today. You have now slept for 3 nights without the binky, and you have been fine.  It's a good thing that the binky is 'broken.'

I love seeing your facial expressions when you see something new, or get surprised.  You are learning so much everyday and it's hard to keep up.  You have been such a good helper lately and love to do whatever we are doing.  I hope you continue to play in the dirt and rocks, throw everything, drinks lots of chocolate milk, eat more and more everyday, have an opinion about what you wear, what you sleep in and what shoes you like the best.  (Your green rain boots have the favorite these past few weeks).

Thank you for being a part of our family.  You will be the best big brother to baby #2.  Thanks for always making me laugh and here's to another great year!  Happy Birthday buddy!

Guest Blogger for Modern Mormon Men

As we all know, the majority of the blogging world is shared by the mommy mormon bloggers, which are great. I read them too. But when the Modern Mormon Men blog launched last Spring, I was right on board from the get go and am now a regular reader.  And as of today, I am a guest blogger for them.  How cool is that?

My post just went up this morning, so get on over there and read it, and post a comment, the more the merrier!!  You can read it HERE and hopefully you will become a regular too!

Thanks friends and family!

Weekend Exploring

This weekend we had fun exploring Midway, Heber and Park City.  First of all, the drive up was so pretty!  All of the leaves are changing colors and it looks awesome! Fall is awesome!   We hit up some of the antique shops in the little towns, drove up Memorial Hill, shopped a little and then ended up in SLC for the Priesthood Session of General Conference and a Thai food family dinner.  It was delicious and fun!

General Conference was amazing, like usual.  I will have to post some of my favorite talks in a later post. The wifey made some delicious cinnamon rolls!  They were sooo good!  It must be a tradition because she made the same ones when she was preggo with baby T, a couple years ago, ha!

Until then, here are a few pics:

The results are in!

We had a very successful trip to the Dr. this morning.  Had a quick check up and got to experience an awesome ultrasound.  It really is amazing how much they can see, it blows my mind!  The heart, spine, limbs, etc... all look good and we have a healthy baby girl that almost weighs 1 pound!!

That's right, a baby girl!  Congrats to those of you who voted correctly!  Baby T kept saying girl (even though is sounds like guurll).  He is going to be a great big brother and is so excited!!  We got a ton of pics and even some of the 3D ones, plus a little movie of it all that I am sure we will watch tonight.

Now let the name game continue.  We have a long list that will need to be narrowed down.  Also, the new due date is February 15, 2010!  Let the countdown continue!

Instagram Pics

How about we have the Instagram pics from last weekend tell you what we were up to.  here we go:

It finally rained and baby T's rain boots were actually used.  On a sad note, we had to cancel our camping trip with the Lignell's because of the rain.
On Saturday the weather cleared up and we went to the Lehi City Farmer's Market, came home with a box of fresh peaches!

We found the 'UP' house in Herriman.  It was pretty cool to see, they just need all of the balloons on it, ha!

Wore our BYU gear on Saturday for the big game.  At the park playing.

So excited for the rivalry game.

Went to the big game.  Let's just not talk about this game anymore.........

It has started to feel like fall here in UT and this picture just proves it!

Enjoying the game.  It didn't last long though.........

Flying solo this week

I have been a bachelor this week.  Baby T and wifey have been visiting family and I have been here all alone.  Work has been busy though, and I have been running again, a lot.  Although, I miss my running buddy baby T.  I think I might run this race next month.  Do you want to run it with me?  If so, we will need to come  up with a cool costume to wear.  The pictures look amazing and some people are so creative.

I miss having them at home with me, but I know they are having a great time (just look at the pics) and they will be home  in time for the you tube party.  See you tonight if you are coming.  We will have some good treats and there will be an awesome prize for whoever has the best you tube video.

These shots below were taken over the long holiday weekend, which I have yet to blog about.  Do you like the color or black & white ones better?

Hurry home please!

Wings, can he fly?

I snapped this photo on the iphone last week just before we left for church.  Look at his blonde, kinda curly wings, aren't they awesome?!  When I was his age I had the exact same hair.  It might of have a little more red in it though, but I had the little curls and wings.  I love it, he looks like a little stud and just may fly away one of these days, ha!

Baby T is talking more and more everyday and picking up on new words and actions too.  He is a little trickster too. He will beg you to get off your seat to follow him and then he will lead you to the kitchen like he wants something to eat, then when you open the pantry door or the fridge he runs back and sits on your seat on the couch and says, "I stole daddy's (or mommy's) seat," and then he just laughs.  It's pretty funny but I have no idea where he learned it.  Was it you Aunt Nat??

Everyday is an adventure and we love it!  Can't wait to add another one into our lives.  February can't come soon enough!

Silver Lake

Last weekend we spent Saturday morning up Big Cottonwood Canyon exploring Brighton and Silver Lake.  It was gorgeous up there!  Everything is still way green and the cooler temperatures were awesome!  We went up with a bunch of the kiddies and there is a boardwalk around the entire lake so you can push the stroller.  It's only about 1 mile around the entire lake, and there are plenty of other trails to explore up there. The kiddies loved seeing the fish and ducks in the lake too.

Weekend Happenings

Don't you just love the weekends where you don't have anything planned, yet it turns out to be so much fun?  Well that's how this weekend was.  Why don't we just let the iphone photos tell the story:

We had the kiddies over for movie and game night.  Battleship was a hit!

Went to watch the kiddies play soccer.

Played......

Picked flowers for mom.

Finally hung up our flag on the deck, we are so patriotic!

Went up AF Canyon for  s'mores.

Went back up the canyon again for tin foil dinners with friends.
