He was a good sport about it all, and we dressed him up as a penguin that year. Kid costumes are the best and there are so many options. That is why T was a dino and a doggie this year. Now that Halloween is over, we can start to enjoy the cold, the dark (day light savings is this weekend!) and get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is a great time of the year, love it!

Flash Back Friday
This week we are flashing back 2 years ago. Baby T was only a few weeks old and we had a fun night carving pumpkins and of course, putting T in one of them, ha!

Flashback Friday - Halloween 2008
3 years ago we went to Frightmares right before Halloween with friends and family. It was a great day there, and I remember it being pretty cold once the sun went down. Frightmares is at Lagoon, and it is awesome. They have a ton of newer rides that are pretty awesome!
My parents neighbors own it, or work there (or something like that) and give them free tickets every Halloween. I am going to try and go again this weekend if no one else is using the passes. I will take Toddler T and try out all of the kiddie rides.
Here are some of the pics from a few years ago:

Flash Back Friday - Halloween 2005
Oh man.....this picture cracks me up! This was Halloween 2005, in Provo. My roommate was in school to become a fire fighter and his brother worked for the SLCFD and we borrowed some of his gear for the night. I think we went to the UVU Halloween Dance that night, and I am pretty sure it was crazy, because they usually are. We had gone to the HOWL at Utah State in Logan the year before and that party was just as crazy. We dressed up as 'super heroes' I wonder if they still have that party?? Anyone know? There are some awesome (awesome meaning skanky, ha!) costumes there and people can get pretty creative.
My cousin always told me that the way people dress on Halloween is the way they wish they could dress everyday of their lives. Think about it, it's kinda true.
Hopefully you are getting some good costumes for this year's Halloween festivities. Enjoy it, it will be here soon!

Flash Back Friday - East Coast
Back in the Spring of 2006, (maybe it was 2005...?) my cousin Jamie was running the Boston marathon so we (some of the cousins) made a trip out of it and hit up the east coast for a week. We spend a few days in Boston with Chels, Mike and Kylee and then drove down the coast to NYC for a couple days there. It was a great trip, and I have the best cousins ever. I loved seeing all of the historical sites and next time I go out there I want to see Philadelphia and of course Washington DC. Someday I will go back for more and probably take the wifey along to see all the sites too.
We have always been close and this trip just made it better. We have a lot of good stories to tell from this trip, just see from the pics below:

Flash Back Friday - Northern CA
This week for flash back friday we are going back a few summers ago when the now wifey and I were still dating. We had a family wedding in the bay area, and made a trip out of it. There was lots of family there and we had a great time, of course.
We spent some time in San Francisco/Oakland and had a great time. It was one of those trips where you just enjoy exploring the city with someone that you could potentially marry. It was the perfect trip to end the summer!

Flash Back Friday - Summer, a few years back
Good thing our siblings got married, or things could have ended up differently, ha! You see, some of you readers may not know this, but when I was on my mission in Guatemala my older brother and the wifey's older sister were married. I returned home and met her, but she was only 16 at the time.......geesh! Makes me sound like a creeper. But remember,WE DID NOT DATE UNTIL SHE WAS IN COLLEGE! I just have to clarify that.
I am so glad that things turned out that way that they have. Now, here we are years later and we have a house and a family together where we are making memories for us and the kiddies. It doesn't get any better than this!

These pics are from the 2nd Neck n Nog Sweater & Wassail Party that we had over 5 years ago! Man, how the time flies. Life was really different back then. I was a student, working full-time and just enjoying life in P-town. The annual party has come a long way and it gets me even more excited for this year's celebrations. It's only a little over 2 months away! I better go sweater shopping and pick up some more mugs here soon so I can be prepared!
