The Ugly Sweater Party is almost here!

This is your friendly reminder to come.  It's on this upcoming Sunday, December 11th at 6:30 pm in SLC at the Shields Residence.  It is going to be the classiest party of the season with lots of good drinks, food and desserts! 

My sister and I have been finishing the final things/ideas for the party and I think we are all set to go.  I found most of the mugs from storage and have plenty of sweater options to decide from.  Now just to finish off on the wassail recipe and finish some other odds and ends.  I have been asked by a few people about how many sweaters/mugs I have and if they can have/buy some.  Maybe next year I will have to sell some of the sweaters that I have.  Maybe I will do it.  Ha.  Stay tuned......

Guest Blogger for Modern Mormon Men

As we all know, the majority of the blogging world is shared by the mommy mormon bloggers, which are great. I read them too. But when the Modern Mormon Men blog launched last Spring, I was right on board from the get go and am now a regular reader.  And as of today, I am a guest blogger for them.  How cool is that?

We Are Utah!

The other night I was able to catch the new show, "We Are Utah."  It was a fun show!  Being from UT and having lived in a couple different states, I can appreciate a show like this and I am sure you can too.

Each episode they are going to explore all of the unique traits of Utah.  For example, Utah's bad driving record, to all of the beautiful people here, to all of their amazing talents.  They will also cover all of the different cultural quirks that most think are weird!  They will also explore the businesses and the new top restaurants.

What if I did this.......

Apparently this dad dressed up every single day as the bus would pick up his 15 (now 16) year old son to go to high school.  He has some pretty awesome costumes and what makes it even better is that he has a peg leg.  How awesome is this?  I am sure his kid was beyond embarrassed at the beginning.....but maybe liked the attention after 100 days, ha!  What if I did this?  What if you did this?  How would your kids react?  Watch out baby T, I might to do something like this, ha ha ha!!
