The Big News!

Dear Friends and Family and other readers of this blog-

We have news!  Wait for it........

We are moving!

Again!  Can you believe it?

This will be our 6th move in 4 years of marriage.  The poor wifey, right?!  I like change if you can't tell.  So, this time we are off to the great Pacific Northwest.  We love the cooler weather and the trees, and we are so excited.  We have accepted an awesome new job and will be doing some training in the Portland, Oregon area for a couple months and then settling down in Olympia, WA, which is south of Seattle.  Can you believe it?  We have conquered Utah, Colorado, then Utah again, and now we are onto Oregon and Washington.  We are beyond excited!

T and our shadows are claiming our new state.

Oh, there is so much to do before we take off at the end of the summer.  We need to finish our backyard, put in sprinklers and sod, rent/sale our house, pack, move, find a new home, etc...etc..... I do love the excitement of change though. Plus when you move often you don't accumulate as much crap, ha.

If you or anyone you know is from WA or lives there, or use to live there, or you know anything about the state,  then please email me at (marcshields14@gmail.com) Any information would be helpful as we embark on this new journey.

RIP Christian (CJ) Rhineer

Our friend passed away last week from a tragic accident in California.  We were still in the hospital with baby D when we heard the news.  We were and still are in shock!  He was biking to work in Irvine, CA and got hit by a car.  He was taken to the hospital and passed away later that day with his wife and family by his side.  CJ will be missed by many and our hearts, prayers and everything else go out to his dear wife Keri, who is also a good friend!  I can not even imagine what she is going through right not.  It hurts me to think about it.  We will be attending the funeral services this weekend to show our love and support for all of them.

Below is his obituary from the SL Tribune that can be found Here.

Christian James (CJ) Rhineer
12/18/1983 ~ 2/14/ 2012

Christian James (CJ) Rhineer passed away February 14, 2012 due to a tragic accident in Irvine, CA.
CJ was born in Provo, UT on December 18, 1983 to John and Jean Rhineer. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Leeds, England. He graduated from the University of Utah and took a job with Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City. On July 24, 2010 CJ married his soul-mate, Keri Miller, in the San Diego Temple. They began their lives together in Salt Lake City and recently moved to Irvine, CA.
CJ loved sports, especially golf, and enjoyed spending as much time as he could on the golf course. CJ's smile was contagious along with his ambition to live life to its fullest. He approached everything in his life with confidence and determination and inspired all those around him to do the same.
CJ was selfless in his love of God, wife and family. His tenderness, playfulness, compassion, and care for his wife all displayed a mutual love that will be deeply missed. We love him and are grateful for his time with us.

The Daily Dish Utah

AHHH!!  So, early this afternoon I received an email and then a phone call from a local reporter from the ABC 4 News here is Salt Lake City.  They invited me and a guest to appear on their morning show, The Daily Dish tomorrow!!

The Daily Dish is a a talk/variety show geared to everyone that lives in Utah! They talk about local fashion, fun, food, fitness, events, hot topics and more.

They want me to come on and discuss my ugly sweater parties that I have been throwing for the past 7 years.  How cool is that?  I invited my sister Monica to go with me, since she has been a major help in planning these parties for the last few years!  So tune in tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14th from 9-10 am to see us on the air.  It's on the CW channel locally here in Utah.  I am pretty sure it will be online too after the filming, so I will post that once it is up.

HERE is the link to their website and HERE is the link to their Facebook page.  Go on over and 'Like' them, thanks!  And the pics are up on my Facebook.  Go on over and see them, they are pretty awesome!   I will put some on here later this week.  Adios!
