Quick Roadtrip

After Christmas we headed down to Portland to spend some time with the Pratt Family.  We talked a lot, ate way too much good food, and even spent some time at the barn looking at and riding the horses.  The kiddos were a little hesitant at first, but T eventually got on the horse for a bit and D just fed them treats and hay.  It was still a fun day to see friends and reconnect, plus we are always up for an adventure.

Merry Christmas

Here are some more pictures from our first Christmas as a family of 5 that were taken with an actual camera.  I've said it before, but the holidays with kids is so much better!  Tis the Season!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve celebration.  We started out with dinner at the new Costa Vida that opened in Federal Way, then we came home read Luke 2 while the kiddos dressed up and acted it out for us.  Then each of the kids did a little talent show for us.  They danced and T read a little Critter Christmas book to us.  (He has it memorized, ha!)   Then we got those kiddos into bed before Santa came, but they knew they had to leave some treats for him and his reindeer and then left his little letters that had written earlier.  It was sweet.  Having kids is the best, especially around the holidays!

Christmas 2014

Our Christmas celebration was great.  Having kids makes holidays like this so much more enjoyable.  Seeing the kiddos little faces light up it amazing!  The kiddos were beyond excited to celebrate.  We had dinner at Costa Vida on Christmas Eve, then acted out the nativity and the kids each did a little talent.  Darla danced and Turner read (well, he has it memorized) Little Critter Christmas book to us all and Rosie oohed and aahed all of us as well.  Santa came that night with presents for everyone.
Surprisingly, the kiddos slept in a little on Christmas day and we didn't start opening gifts until after 9 am.  They were happy with what Santa brought and what they gave each other as well.  That day we just lounged around the house, played with the new toys and games, talked with family on the phone and then had a yummy Christmas dinner with honey baked ham, potatoes, salad, asparagus and rolls.  It was a mellow, yet fun Christmas day.

Merry Christmas!  Tis the Season.

Traditions

It's that time of year again.  We have been busy doing all of our fun family traditions.  One of them included making our own wrapping paper.  We used large art paper this year and we spent the other evening painting and getting creative with different ideas for the paper.  The kiddos ended up with paint all over their hands and feet as they left their marks on the paper as well.  Even Rosie had a turn leaving her footprints.  We are so excited for Christmas later this week.  Tis the Season and the fun family traditions.

Happy Birthday Wifey Dear

The wifey celebrated a birthday over the weekend.  We had donuts instead of a cake and went out that night for burgers and fries, without the kiddos.  They had a sitter, well we took Rosie with us sine she just sleeps most of the day, ha!  We got some Christmas shopping done and are almost all ready to celebrate later this week.  Happy Birthday Wifey Dear!

Christmas Sunday

Today was Sunday and the kiddos were dressed up in their Sunday Best for church.  We had to snap a few photos by the Christmas Tree to document these types of moments. Their dresses and ties matched their cousins that live in Utah.  They were pretty excited about them.  Tis the Season!
