#2 update
our lot is marked off and because of its odd shape, we will have a lot of side yard space. it looks like this week they have been installing the plumbing, sewer and gas lines from the main lines to the house. they filled up the house with dirt/gravel/rocks so they can lay more cement soon. they also put in new cement for where the driveway will be from the street. here are a few pics that i snapped with the iphone:
