New Year's Eve

We had a great time celebrating the New Year with friends here in CA.  We started the night off with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory then all the kiddos got in their pajamas and we had little games, poppers, balloons, glow sticks, dance parties, movie watching, good food and more to celebrate.  The kiddos had a great time and the adults did too.  We finished the night off celebrating early and had all the kids in bed by 10:30 pm. I call that a success since we had church first thing in the morning.

Happy New Year, here's to a great 2017!

Hidden Falls

Over the New Years Weekend had spend one afternoon hiking and exploring Hidden Falls.  There were tons of trails to explore and the waterfalls and bridges were awesome!  I am sure we will be going back to explore more with the kiddos again.

Christmas 2016

After a long and snowy drive we made it to Reno last Friday afternoon to kick off the Christmas weekend with family.  There was a snow storm  heading over Donner Pass and we prepared by purchasing chains in advance so we could make it over the pass.  Once we tried to put them on, we realized they were the wrong size and they did not fit!  We ended up paying way too much for someone on the side of the road to sell us some.  We finally had them on and we continued the drive to Reno.  About 4+ hours later we finally made it!  The snow was falling down fast and it was quite the experience.  We had a fun time celebrating in Reno with family though once we got there.  The kiddos were happy as could be and I would call it a successful Christmas!

Wifey Turns 30!

Since I am 5 years older than my wife, I have heard a lot of jokes over the years about our age difference.  I have been known as the old man in his thirties for years and finally the wifey has entered her thirties and we are back in the same age category....ha ha ha!  We had a great day celebrating with our family which included dinner, donuts, candy and soda!
Happy Birthday Wifey Dear!

Another fun tradition that we do every year is make wrapping paper!  We had some family in town celebrating the wifey's birthday.  We all had a great time painting and making a mess, ha!

Tis the Season

This time of year really is magical, especially with the kiddos. Christmas is less than a week away and we have had a fun time decorating our house, hanging up lights, shopping and doing the other fun traditions and school activities as well.
