West Seattle

Last Saturday we met up with the Ripp family and spent the day exploring West Seattle.  I had been there once before for work, but it was nice to explore a little more.  We started out at Bakery Nouveau.  The Ripp's had been to the bakery before and it as pretty good.  They had an amazing twice baked chocolate croissant.  We tried some cakes, and cookies too.  All were very good.

After the bakery we headed down to Alki beach.  The sun was shining and it was crowded.  Alki had great views of Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island and parts of Seattle.  It was amazing!  The kiddos ran all over the beach and played in the sand while the adults talked about adult stuff and caught up on life.  We left West Seattle around sunset and enjoyed the prettiest view of Seattle and the skyline.  We live in a beautiful place, seriously we do.  After exploring and playing he ended the evening in Bellevue making homemade pizzas and staying up way too late.

What a great Saturday!
