Cake Batter Pancakes

Yes, you read that right.  We made the cake batter pancakes on Sunday morning, and they were beyond delicious.  Luckily, there were enough that I got to have some after church for lunch.  Score!  The recipe is quick and easy and the syrup (well it's really like frosting) is amazing!

Baby T added some red sprinkles too, just for fun.  He was such a good helper too.

This is all you need:

1 1/2 cups of flour
2/3 cup of yellow cake mix
1 tablespoon of sugar
3/4 teaspoon of baking powder
just a pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1-2 cups of milk

* This made about 11 pancakes for us.

And the syrup/frosting:

1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tablespoon of milk (add more if needed)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Also, my sister told me that she would make these in a waffle iron while in college.  I bet they are just as good!

Those look delicious! I'll have to try that with some red velvet cake mix.
