Family & Cousins

We had some visitors this past weekend.  Baby Bowen came to play and he was so fun to watch with Dean.  They are about 3 months apart and look so different, ha!  Cousins are the best. We had a fun time playing in the backyard, going on bike rides to 7-11 and having fun with the Connolly Fam from the bay area! 

Fall & Winter

The leaves are all still changing colors and falling to the ground and the rain is coming as well along with the cooler temps!  We are loving the fresh air now and still try to get outside as much as we can!

Weekend Round Up Pics

Dean was the special person in Turner's class this week.  I guess the kids in his class all loved him, but why wouldn't they?!  We spent a lot of time outside this weekend enjoying the nice cooler weather, going on walks, going on bike rides and trips to 7-11!

Schwinn

Some days after I come home from a long day at work, plus a 40 minute commute home, the last thing I want to do is exercise. I mentally think of any excuse to not exercise and my mind gets set that lounging around the house would be way better.  But as soon as I walk in that door and say hi to me wife and kiddos, all the plans in my mind seem to change.  The kiddos are excited to see me and honestly I usually get a burst of energy!  When this happens, I know I have to act quick so I will usually change my clothes real quick, have the kiddos put their shoes, go potty and we all head into the garage to find our helmets and go for a family bike ride.

As soon as we are all outside and start pedaling those bikes I am immediately happy with the decision to go on a family bike ride.  Some evenings we will ride along the trails in our neighborhood for a couple miles and other nights we will ride shorter distance and then stop to play at the parks along the way.  No matter what though, my family and I are satisfied with the fresh air, the exercise and the opportunity we have to spend time together as a family.

Still Biking

We are still loving our Schwinn bikes and try to get on them as much as we can.  Now that the temperatures are finally cooling down (meaning less than 100 degrees!) we can get out more.  We enjoy taking rides to get ice cream, to get Slurpees, to the park or just on the trails around our neighborhood.

Also, who remembers spoke beads?  They are the little balls/beads that you snap onto the spokes of your bike and when you pedal they move up and down and make a cool noise, plus they look cool as well?  Well we found some on amazon and ordered them for the kiddos and they love them!  It brought back some good memories of my childhood.

Summer Bike Rides

It has been really hot this summer!  We haven't been able to get out and bike as much since it's usually still 90 degrees at 8 pm, ha!  Some evenings we suck it up and work up a sweat as we bike the trails through our parks and neighborhood.

Schwinn Bike Ride

Since we have all of those Schwinn bikes we were able to get a bunch of us out on a fun  bike ride.  We rode the trails all around our neighborhood and stopped to play at a couple parks and to shoot some hoops at the school.  It was a great bike ride with our fun visitors!
