Lake Powell 2011

What a trip we had this year!  We went to the houseboat at Wahweap Marina on Friday and spent the weekend there in the slip, while the rest of the crew came down over the next couple of days.  We took the boat out during the days and skied and wakeboarded.  We cruised into Page, AZ for church, to go on the dam tour and pick up our wave runners. 

First thing Monday morning we pulled out of the marina and spend the next 4 days up Gunsite Bay.  It was a great spot with lots of morning shade.  Which would have been nice if we were to sleep in, but we got up early every morning to ski and wake board on the warm glassy smooth water!  It was perfect.  Lots of good food, fun and family!  Just see the pics for yourself!  I love Lake Powell and can't wait to go back.

One day we went on a sweet hike up this slot canyon where you have to swim through these freezing cold water pools to get thru, it was cool.  The lake water levels are pretty high this year and the views are just amazing!
