My little sister, Natalie Shields is a runner. In fact, she is a
great, no amazing runner! Last weekend she flew back to North Carolina for the 2012
New Balance Track Nationals! Can you believe that she went to
Nationals? She was one of the only girls from the western US that was invited to run the 1 and 2 mile. She placed 2nd in the nation at the 2 mile race and 5th in the 1 mile! How cool is that?! She did awesome and it was really fun to watch the races on line through the facebook app last weekend. It can get pretty intense. I can't even imagine what it was like actually being there. Natalie is the fastest female runner to come out of the state of Utah. She is going down in the books for this one.
I found some pics on facebook of her at the meet. They got to wear crowns when they got their medals, ha. Pretty awesome! Nat is the one with her hands in the air in the first pic, she was beyond excited!!
She is amazing and BYU is lucky to get her next year for both track and cross country!

I have to admit... that was my dream back in HS- to run for their track and XC teams. Congrats to your little sis. She is amazing! Thanks for sharing the great news! I'll have to follow up and watch for her. :)
