thoughts and considerations

why are some people so surprised that you have children? i have told a few people that natalie and i had a baby and they are all surprised, and ask why? or isn't that kind-of soon, etc...? some are people i know well, and others are random people that i meet in wal-mart, the mall or costco. whatever the case is, it's weird. we are a married couple and we started a family. isn't that one of the reasons that we as latter day saints even get married in the first place? seriously, we want to have a family. adding turner has been the greatest thing ever, and i feel a little sad for those people who are not having children. get with it, have children, that's why we are here. i mean we have been married for a year and a half, we dated for years before that, and there comes a time when you have to make room for others in your life by having a child! i thought it was just a step in the whole process.

there is also a part of us that aches for those who are dying to have a child but can not for whatever reason, and i am so impressed by those who seek out for adoption. what an awesome thing to do. i have many cousins and a few friends who have done this. in fact, nat really likes china babies and i told her one day we will adopt one.

thank you to those people who have children and stand up for them. it's weird to think of our life before having turner around, he makes everything that much better and we are that much happier.

Well put, I agree! Turner is the best thing in your family, (along with you and Nat).

AMEN! We should support and encourage those brave enough and unselfish enough to let a child into their life and hearts. I am so glad you are experiencing the joy a kid can bring . . . it is definitely indescribable.

I agree, although I have the opposite problem with people wondering how I could be so selfish as to not have children after 4 years of marriage... I want a Chinese baby too! In five more years (you have to be 30 to adopt from China)and a few salary raises for Mike we will look into it.

Great post Marcus. People in the bay area think we're freaks for having 4 kids!
