The Old Folks Home

I just got back from a great afternoon at the old folks home here in Provo. I know, I know...... but Natalie's grandma lives there and she needs to do some community service for a class, so I went with her today. I was a little hesitant to go at first, but once BINGO started, I was sold. The smell of the home was really weird but the building itself was beautiful. I noticed a lot of gray hair, canes, wheel charis and walkers everywhere. It is a whole differnet world inside those homes. After the concert was over Bingo started. I sat next to Darci Park who was apparently a little rude to Natalie last week. Although, she is also from Reno, NV. She was my Bingo buddy and as the games went on, I wanted her to win so bad. Well after I won a game first of course. Each game was a little more intense and I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for the next number to be called. Natalie said I sounded like a little kid because I got so excited whenever they called one of my numbers. I could feel my competitive edge growing as each game passed on and I hadn't won. Grandma Challis won twice and me and my buddy Darci had nothing! I wanted one of the prizes on the table so bad. Unfortunately, our time went by too fast and we had to leave. I left...empty handed and was so dissapointed but yet so eager to return next week to plan again. I just might become a regular at the old folks home.
