Yuba River exploring

After camping we spend the entire day exploring different parts of the Yuba River.  We had 3 different spots along the river that were amazing!  We started right by our camp group with a fun little cliff jump and swimming hole.  Turner was brave enough to jump in with me off a big rock to start off our River day.  Then we packed up and hiked to Emerald Pools.  There were huge cliffs at this spot, but the kiddos opted to play in the little swimming hole and little rock slides.  We grabbed lunch at a small pub in Nevada City after the pools, then finished out the day at another swimming hole with rope swings and fun little rapids for the kiddos.

It was a great day on the river and all 3 kiddos fell asleep on the drive back home.  They were exhausted and it felt great to spend a weekend out exploring!
