he will be missed.........

Chris was a good friend of mine growing up in high school.  I have some good memories of him cruising around in his rodeo, listening to him sing phantom of the opera, camping, etc....etc.....the list goes on and on.  He died unexpectedly last weekend and out hearts go out to his wife Ellie (who I also grew up with) and their little boy Colin.  Below is the obituary from the Tribune:

CHRISTOPHER HALES Christopher Bart Hales 1982 ~ 2010 Christopher Bart Hales passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2010.Chris was born April 22, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bart and Konni Hales. He graduated from East High School in 2000 and married Ellie Smithson in June 2005. They welcomed their son Colin into their lives in October 2007. Chris loved cars, the outdoors, and his family. He especially adored his son, to whom he passed his love of cars. Chris is survived by his wife and son, parents, brother Don, sister Jacki Lynn and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother Quintann and Grandparents Afton and Don Hales. Condolences to the family may be given at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 1300 S. on Wednesday, February 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and one hour before the funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11 at the Foothill 6th Ward (2215 E. Roosevelt Ave) at 12:00. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up in Chris' name at Zion's Bank for his wife and son.
